Pia Ulin, born in 1965 in Sundsvall, Sweden, has worked as a professional photographer for more than 20 years. She works with both editorial and commercial clients, focusing mainly on lifestyle and interiors.

She studied at the International Center of Photography in New York in the early 1990s, and following this began her life as a professional photographer and worked mostly in Scandinavia and Europe. In 2012 she expanded her work to the US  and now divides her time between her studio in Brooklyn, New York, and her family in Sweden. She is signed with Stockholm agency LinkDeco and Edge Reps in New York.

Ulin gained a reputation early in her career using only daylight, giving her images a warm and natural touch often associated with a Scandinavian aesthetic. Her commercial clients include H&M Home, West Elm, Ikea, Sonos, Williams Sonoma, Cath Kidson and Anthropologie.

She has worked with a variety of stylists and international interior publications, including Dwell, Kinfolk, Martha Stewart and Elle Decoration. She has also been involved in a number of books, such as Fritidshuset (Byggförlaget) and Nesting, a collaboration with artist and stylist Cilla Ramnek, published by Ulin and Ramnek. Monochrome Home with Hilary Robertson (Ryan, Peters & Small), Kinfolk Home (Kinfolk) and the book Colorful with Lotta Agaton, published by Ulin and Agaton.
